We print to order, so nothing is made for stock: each book, deck or puzzle is printed after it is ordered. We print at an FSC-certified press, with CMYK process inks that are non-toxic and AZO-free, and the grey board in our puzzles and rigid boxes is made from recycled fibre.
At Printedin, we believe that creating beautiful memories shouldn't come at the cost of the environment. Here's how we're working to minimize our footprint.
We print at an FSC-certified press; an FSC logo on the product itself is a separate job, priced on a custom quote. Our inks are non-toxic and AZO-free, with no heavy metals or PFAS intentionally added, and our materials are tested to EN 71, the European toy-safety standard.
Board book covers can be laminated with a thin plastic (polypropylene) film, in matt or gloss, or left unlaminated at the same price; the pages themselves are not laminated. Cards and puzzles are not laminated either.
We continuously optimize our production process to reduce waste. Small runs are printed digitally, so we print only what is ordered — no overproduction, no warehouse full of unsold stock. Large runs, above 1,000 copies, are printed offset, on a custom quote.

Are the products FSC-labelled?
They are printed at an FSC-certified press. An FSC logo on the product itself is a separate job, priced on a custom quote.
Is there any plastic?
Only the lamination film: a thin polypropylene film on board-book covers when you choose matt or gloss, and on card-game boxes. Cards and puzzles are not laminated, and there are no plastic parts.
Are the materials safe for children?
The EN 71 test reports for our materials and our declaration of conformity with the EU Toy Safety Directive are on the compliance page; the materials themselves are on print specifications.
