Not at all! Printedin Studio works by drag and drop and is designed for beginners. Simply upload your photos, add text, choose from templates, and customize your design. No Photoshop or design experience needed.

No. Printedin (printedin.com) is a direct-to-consumer (D2C) platform. Anyone — parents, teachers, gift-givers — can design and order custom printed products without a business account. Orders start at a single copy, with flat prices at 1, 5 and 10 and volume tiers from 25, with lower per-copy prices at higher tiers (50/100/150/200/300). Publishers, schools and businesses are welcome too: a run beyond our tiers or a job outside the catalogue is quoted individually — see printedin.com/custom-quote.

Our board books use thick white card board — 300gsm + 300gsm laminated together. The cover is laminated matt or gloss, or left unlaminated, at the same price. Card games use 350gsm matt coated cardstock with rounded corners. Our materials are tested to EN 71 (the European toy-safety standard) and printed with non-toxic inks. Production runs at an FSC-certified printer; if the finished product needs to carry the FSC label, that is quoted separately.

Absolutely! We use high-resolution digital printing (1200 DPI) with vivid, fade-resistant inks. Every product undergoes multi-point quality inspection before shipping.

We take safety seriously. Our materials are tested to EN 71 — the European toy-safety standard — and we use non-toxic inks, rounded corners, and thick pages designed for little hands.

Board books are 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 or 26 pages, covers included (4 to 13 spreads). Each page is thick and durable, perfect for babies and toddlers. For a different page count, ask for a custom quote at printedin.com/custom-quote.

We recommend at least 300 DPI for optimal print quality. Printedin Studio will warn you if an uploaded image has insufficient resolution for the selected size.

Printedin Studio lets you upload photos, add text, insert shapes, and arrange elements on each page by simply dragging and dropping. You can resize, rotate, and position everything exactly how you want it.

Yes! We offer professionally designed templates for various themes (animals, space, family, education). You can start with a template and customize it with your own photos and text, or start from a blank canvas.

Yes, all your designs are automatically saved to your account. You can come back anytime to edit, duplicate, or reorder any of your designs.

You can upload JPEG, PNG, and WebP image files. We recommend high-resolution images (300+ DPI) for the best print results.

The smallest order is a single proof copy, at a flat price that includes delivery — one finished book, deck or puzzle to hold before you commit to a run. 5 and 10 copies are flat-priced too, the same per copy on every size. From 25 upwards you order in volume tiers of 25, 50, 100, 150, 200 or 300; the more you order, the lower the price per copy. For larger runs, custom sizes or page counts we do not list, ask for a custom quote at printedin.com/custom-quote. If your artwork is already finished, send it to us at printedin.com/print-ready and we will prepare the design for you.

Absolutely! Many of our customers order personalized products as gifts. You can ship directly to the recipient with a custom gift message.

Simply create your design in Printedin Studio, then click "Order" to proceed to checkout. Choose your quantity tier (1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 150, 200 or 300), enter your shipping address, and complete payment. That is the self-serve route. If your artwork is already finished, send it with the specification at printedin.com/print-ready; for a size, page count or quantity outside the catalogue, ask for a custom quote at printedin.com/custom-quote.

You can cancel or modify your order within 2 hours of placing it by contacting us at support@printedin.com. After production has started, modifications are no longer possible.

Every order ships with tracking included. Delivery is priced as a fixed amount per copy and depends only on how many copies you order — not on the weight of your parcel or where it is going. Nothing is added after checkout: the total you see before you pay is the total you are charged. We print in about a week, and once your order has been dispatched it is delivered within two weeks.

Yes. We ship to 32 countries: Türkiye, the 27 European Union countries, the United Kingdom, Norway, the United States and Canada. You can see the full list when you choose your delivery country at checkout, and full tracking is provided for every order.

Yes, once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number to track your package in real-time.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure Stripe payment gateway. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported. Custom-quote orders are paid the same way: online by card at checkout, before production.

Absolutely. We use Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor — the highest level of security certification. Your card details are never stored on our servers.

You can explore Printedin Studio without an account, but you'll need to create a free account to save designs and place orders. Registration takes less than 30 seconds.

We take privacy seriously. Your data is stored securely in the EU, encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell your data to third parties. We are fully GDPR compliant with data export and account deletion options.

Yes. If your files are already designed you do not need Printedin Studio: send us the specification and a link to your artwork from our print-ready page, and we will prepare the design and put it in your account ready to order. Please supply a PDF with 3 mm of bleed on every side, and images at 300 DPI at final print size.

Yes, as long as two things hold. Resolution first: we need at least 300 DPI at the size the picture is printed, so a file 1,024 pixels wide is sharp up to about 8.5 cm and will look soft across a whole 20 × 20 cm page. Generate at the largest size your tool offers; enlarging a small file afterwards does not add detail, it only makes the softness bigger. Rights second: when you order you confirm that you may print what you have uploaded, and that applies to a generated image as much as to a photograph. Printedin Studio measures every image against the size you have placed it at and warns you before you order.

At 300 DPI one centimetre is about 118 pixels. So a picture filling a 12 × 12 cm page needs roughly 1,420 pixels square, 15 × 15 cm about 1,770, and 20 × 20 cm about 2,360 — a little more if it runs off the edge, because print needs 3 mm of bleed on each side. A picture that covers only part of the page needs proportionally less: what counts is the size it is printed at, not the size of the page. Printedin Studio does this arithmetic for you and flags anything under 300 DPI before you order.

Yes, in two ways. You can import the PDF into Printedin Studio: if you are signed in, the file is kept and its pages go to press as themselves, so text stays crisp, while the canvas shows a 300 DPI picture of each page for you to add your own photos and text on top of. What you cannot do is edit the elements inside the PDF separately afterwards. The other way is to skip Printedin Studio and send the file as print-ready artwork; we prepare the design in your account, ready to order. Either way, export at the catalogue size with 3 mm of bleed on every side — our templates page has the exact sheet for every size and page count, free to download.

No. Send RGB. The print file is produced on our side and converted there — to PSO Coated v3 (FOGRA51) for digital printing and ISO Coated v2 (FOGRA39) for offset. Converting first does not help and can cost you saturation, because the file then goes through two conversions. Do expect strong RGB blues and greens to print a little duller than they look on a backlit screen: that is the gamut of ink on paper rather than a fault in your file.

Yes. You keep ownership of everything you upload; the licence you give us is limited to printing and delivering your order, and that is written in our Terms. A run of 100 or 300 copies is yours to sell, give away or stock, and nothing about it is exclusive to us. There is no business account and no wholesale requirement either: the prices on the pricing page are the prices for everyone, and any quantity priced there you can order yourself.

Not to order from us. An ISBN is only needed if you sell through shops, wholesalers or libraries that ask for one, and it comes from the ISBN agency of the country you publish in — a printer cannot issue one. If you have one, put the barcode into your design yourself, on the back cover, clear of the trim and the fold and large enough to scan: we print what the design contains and never add a code of our own.

Artwork you own or have the right to print: your own photos, drawings and words, or images licensed for the use you are making of them. A licensed character, a company's logo, a film still or a stock image without the right licence is not something we can print. You also confirm that any photograph of a child is uploaded by their parent or guardian. These are the warranties in our Terms, and they have to be yours to give — the provenance of an image is not something a printer can check.

The design is yours. We take a limited licence for one purpose, printing and delivering your order, and your files are used for nothing else. They do not stay forever either: the print PDF of an order is deleted 90 days after delivery; a file you send us as print-ready artwork goes 90 days after it was last used or 60 days after delivery, whichever is later; and a design you delete yourself is removed 30 days later — unless it has an order, in which case it is kept.
