1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the PrintedIn website and services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use our Services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Optimal Trading LLC LTD, trading as PrintedIn ("we," "our," or "us"), a company registered in England (Company No. 14228479), governing your use of our platform for designing and ordering custom printed board books, card games, and puzzles.
Please read carefully. These Terms affect your legal rights and obligations. By creating an account or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility
To use our Services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- Not be prohibited from using the Services under applicable law.
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
If you are using the Services on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. Your Account
When you create an account with us, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activities that occur under your account.
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Keeping your account information accurate and up to date.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or are involved in fraudulent activity.
4. Our Services
PrintedIn provides an online platform that allows you to:
- Design custom products using our web-based editor.
- Upload your own photos, images, and text content.
- Preview your design before ordering.
- Order professionally printed products for delivery.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our Services at any time, with reasonable notice when possible. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Services.
4.1 Usage Limits
To ensure fair use and maintain service quality for all users, each account is subject to the following default limits:
- Design count: A maximum number of designs per user account (currently: 20). When this limit is reached, you must delete existing designs before creating new ones.
- Storage quota: A maximum total storage allowance per user account (currently: 100 MB), covering both canvas data and uploaded images. When this limit is reached, you cannot add new content (images, text, or other elements) to your designs until you free up space by deleting unused designs or images.
- Image upload size: Individual image files are limited to 50 MB per file. This limit applies to all image upload methods in the design editor. We recommend using high-resolution images (300 DPI or above) for optimal print quality.
- PDF import size: PDF files imported into the design editor are limited to 200 MB per file. PDF pages are rasterized and stored as high-quality images on our servers to ensure optimal print output.
These limits may be adjusted by us at any time. Current limits are displayed in the design editor when applicable. If limits are lowered, existing designs remain accessible, but you will not be able to create new designs or add new elements until your usage is below the new limits.
5. User Content & Intellectual Property
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to our platform (photos, text, designs). By uploading content, you grant PrintedIn a limited, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and process your content solely for the purpose of fulfilling your orders.
5.2 Content Responsibility
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload.
- Your content does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights.
- Your content does not contain illegal, harmful, or offensive material.
- Photos of minors are uploaded only by their parent or legal guardian.
5.3 Our Intellectual Property
The PrintedIn name, logo, website design, templates, and all related materials are our property or the property of our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of our platform.
5.4 Design Data Retention & Automatic Cleanup
To maintain service quality and manage storage resources sustainably, we apply automatic retention policies based on account type:
Registered Users
- Designs that have not been updated for 30 consecutive days are automatically marked as "Abandoned" by our system.
- Once a design is marked as Abandoned, its associated uploaded files (images, photos) are scheduled for permanent deletion.
- The design metadata (title, product type, creation date) is retained for record-keeping purposes but the design content itself cannot be recovered after cleanup.
- Designs that have been converted to an order ("Ordered" status) or explicitly marked as complete are never subject to this automatic cleanup.
Guest (Anonymous) Users
- If you use the design tool without creating an account, any uploaded images are automatically deleted after 7 days if you do not register or sign in.
- To preserve your work, you must create an account or sign in before the 7-day period expires. Upon sign-in, your uploaded content is linked to your account and becomes subject to the registered user retention policy above.
Why we do this: As a custom print service, each design can contain high-resolution images and detailed canvas data. Without a retention policy, indefinitely storing inactive designs would significantly increase infrastructure costs, which would ultimately be passed on to all customers through higher prices. This policy ensures we can keep our services affordable while providing ample time for active projects.
Registered users can prevent automatic cleanup by simply updating or accessing their design within the 30-day period. If you need to preserve a design for longer, we recommend completing it or exporting a PDF copy for your records.
6. Orders & Payments
When you place an order through our platform:
- All prices are displayed and charged in euro (EUR, €) and include applicable VAT where required. Delivery costs are shown before you complete your order.
- Orders are placed in fixed quantity tiers of 25, 50, 100, or 150 copies (minimum order 25), with a lower per-copy price at higher tiers.
- Payment must be made at the time of order using accepted payment methods.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason.
- You will receive an order confirmation via email upon successful payment.
Custom products. Since all books are custom-made to your specifications, please carefully review your design before placing an order. Design errors are the responsibility of the customer.
7. Shipping & Delivery
We deliver to 32 countries: Türkiye, the 27 European Union countries, the United Kingdom, Norway, the United States and Canada. Delivery is priced as a fixed amount per copy, set by the quantity you order — it does not vary by destination or by the weight of the parcel. Delivery is part of the total shown before you complete your order, and nothing is added afterwards. Our carrier is Air Kargo.
| Region | Estimated Delivery | Delivery Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Türkiye (domestic) | 3–5 business days | Fixed amount per copy |
| Europe and the United Kingdom | 7–14 business days | Fixed amount per copy |
| United States | 10–21 business days | Fixed amount per copy |
Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to customs processing, holidays, or carrier delays. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs or the shipping carrier.
8. Right of Withdrawal (EEA, UK and Türkiye Consumers)
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area (the European Union, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), the United Kingdom or Türkiye, a distance contract normally gives you 14 days to withdraw from it without giving a reason. This section explains how that right applies to PrintedIn orders — and where it does not.
8.1 Goods made to your specifications
Every product we sell is manufactured individually for you after you order, from the design you assemble in our editor: you choose the pages, upload the images and set the text. Under Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU — and, in the United Kingdom, regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and in Türkiye under Article 15 of the Distance Contracts Regulation made under Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers — the right of withdrawal does not apply to the supply of goods that are made to the consumer's specifications or are clearly personalised.
This exclusion covers our entire catalogue. You therefore do not have a 14-day right to withdraw from an order simply because you have changed your mind.
Please read this before you pay. By placing an order you acknowledge that your product is made to your specifications and that the statutory right of withdrawal therefore does not apply to it. Check your design carefully first — the preview in the editor shows exactly what will be printed.
8.2 Our voluntary cancellation window
The exclusion above is what the law permits us to do. In practice we go further: you may cancel any order within 2 hours of placing it for a full refund, without giving a reason, by writing to support@printedin.com with your order number. After that window production has usually started and cancellation is no longer possible. This window is a contractual courtesy we offer voluntarily — it neither replaces nor limits the statutory rights described below.
8.3 Rights this does not affect
The exclusion concerns withdrawal — changing your mind — only. It does not touch your statutory rights when there is something wrong with what you receive:
- Faulty, damaged or not as described. If your product does not conform to the contract, you are entitled to repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund. In the EU this follows from Directive (EU) 2019/771, under which we are liable for any lack of conformity that becomes apparent within two years of delivery. In the United Kingdom the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies, giving you a short-term right to reject within 30 days of delivery and further remedies after that.
- Never delivered. If your order does not arrive within the maximum estimated delivery time, you are entitled to a full refund or a reshipment.
- Mandatory local law. Where the consumer protection law of your country of residence gives you more than this section does, that law prevails.
The "Returns & Refunds" section below explains how we handle these cases in practice.
8.4 How to reach us
For anything concerning cancellation, withdrawal or a faulty product, write to support@printedin.com with your order number and, where relevant, photographs of the problem. We reply within 24 hours on business days. Formal legal notices may instead be sent to legal@printedin.com.
9. Returns & Refunds
Since our products are custom-made, we have the following return policy:
- Quality Issues: If your product arrives damaged or with a printing defect, we will reprint and ship a replacement at no cost. Please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos of the issue. This is how we meet the conformity obligations described in the previous section; it does not shorten the statutory periods set out there.
- Design Errors: Errors in your submitted design (typos, wrong photos, etc.) are not eligible for refund. Please review carefully before ordering.
- Non-Delivery: If your order does not arrive within the maximum estimated delivery time, contact us for a full refund or reshipment.
- Cancellation: Orders may be cancelled within 2 hours of placement. After production begins, cancellation is not possible.
10. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use our Services to:
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory.
- Create books containing copyrighted material you do not have rights to use.
- Upload content that exploits or endangers minors.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Services without authorization.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, reporting to law enforcement authorities.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrintedIn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to PrintedIn in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our Services immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Services will immediately cease.
- We may delete your account data after a reasonable period.
- Any pending orders may be cancelled and refunded.
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For consumers within the European Union or the United Kingdom, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence shall apply.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of our Services shall be submitted to the competent courts of England and Wales, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
