Already have the artwork? Send us the file
You do not need our editor. Send your finished PDF with the specification, and we will prepare the design, put it in your account, and you order it like any other.
How it works
Three steps, and only the first one is yours.
You send the file
Fill in the form below with the product, size and quantity, and add a link to your artwork. A price estimate appears as you choose.
We prepare the design
We check the file against the specification, tell you about anything that will not print well, and build the design from it.
You order it
The finished design appears in your PrintedIn account. Sign in, check the preview, and order it through the normal checkout.
What to send
A file that matches these four points goes straight to press. Anything else, we tell you before you pay.
A PDF
One PDF for the whole job, pages in reading order, fonts embedded or converted to outlines.
1 cm bleed on every side
Larger than the 3 mm most printers ask for, so a file built to another printer's template will not fit. Extend the background to the bleed edge and keep anything important well inside it.
300 DPI at final size
Measured at the size it prints, not the size of the file. A 300 DPI image scaled to twice its width prints at 150.
A page count we produce
Board books are 8, 12, 16 or 24 pages. Your file needs exactly that many — we cannot add or drop a page to make it fit.
We open and check every file by hand before quoting. The automatic resolution warning in the editor cannot see inside an imported PDF, so this check is a person rather than a script — which is also why it takes a working day rather than a moment.
Tell us about the job
The price updates as you choose. It is an estimate from our standard rates, not a binding quote.
Not what you needed?
If you would rather design it yourself, the editor does the whole job in the browser — and it can import a PDF too, if you only want to start from one.
